A leading investment company is looking for a senior Platform Engineer to join its platform team on a consultancy basis. This role is for an experienced engineer who can contribute quickly, operate independently, and take responsibility in a production-critical environment.

About the Team
The platform team builds and operates the comapnys core engineering platform, enabling product teams to run secure, reliable, and scalable services. We work close to production, incidents, and security, with a strong focus on automation, standards, and operational excellence.

About the Role

You’ll work hands-on with the cloud platform, supporting day-to-day operations, platform development, and incident response. The role requires senior judgment, strong operational skills, and the ability to be effective with limited onboarding time.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Operate and evolve the cloud platform supporting production workloads.
• Act as a reliable on-call engineer and operational “goalie” for the team.
• Improve platform reliability, security, and developer experience.
• Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers across teams on platform usage and best practices.

About You

You’re a senior platform engineer with deep operational experience, comfortable owning problems end-to-end and working independently in a high-trust environment.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience as a senior Platform / SRE / Infrastructure Engineer.
• Hands-on experience running production Kubernetes platforms.
• Solid Google Cloud experience, including GKE.
• Infrastructure-as-code mindset with Terraform.
• Experience with GitOps and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong operational maturity: incidents, on-call, debugging, reliability.
